Travel Tech & Power

My phone might be one of the hardest-working things I pack.

Maps. Train schedules. Boarding passes. Hotel reservations. Translation. Photos. Tickets. Communication.

And none of those are particularly helpful when the battery hits 1%.

These are the travel tech and power products I use or recommend for keeping devices charged, connected, and easier to manage away from home.

How I Keep My Suitcase Organized

I prefer giving different types of items their own place instead of throwing everything into one large suitcase compartment.

Packing cubes help separate clothing, smaller organizers keep cables and accessories together, and travel-size containers prevent toiletries from taking over the suitcase.

It also makes moving between hotels easier because I don't have to completely reorganize my luggage every time I need something.

Don't Forget About the Trip Home

One easy-to-overlook thing is that your luggage may be fuller on the way home than when you left.

Souvenirs, shopping, gifts, and even simply repacking differently can change how everything fits. That's why I travel with a luggage scale and like having a foldable extra bag available when I need it.

A little planning before you leave can save a lot of rearranging at the airport.
